I bought a sewing machine. I’m tired of paying someone to do something I’m more than capable of doing. I’m a machinist by trade so surely I can handle hemming the bottom of pants. Gonna mess around with some old pants first then I’m doing the good stuff all on my own from now on.

Ahhh... yes. I have one of those fascinating machines. They do wondrous things. Next step is to try and figure out how they do that. Talk about machine madness. It is true magic.

That’s right! I need it for one purpose only and it’s to hem my pants. apparently finding pants with a 26” inseam is pretty uncommon. The joys of being short.

I wish I could do something like this myself.

I know hemming and badges are relatively easy bit for anything other than trouser buttons I’ve always paid someone to properly place my arm badges (especially as they had to be precisely placed to the millimetre on the shirt/jacket/woolie pully) and shirt buttons and hemming my trousers.

That reminds me. I once bought a really nice black shirt and it had white buttons. So I sourced some black buttons (two different sizes from collar/cuff pleat to cuff/shirt front) and paid her to change them I’ve only wore that shirt three times. :(
